Working demo + fixed price for the complete configurator
PALIS, BLADE M with the Flared handle, built directly from your Flared.step and textured only with your own photographs. Below: how it is made, how new handle designs are added, and one fixed price for everything in your PDF.

How I read Handle 2 from your photo
- Half-handles in padauk, with maple veneers running the full length: a group of four close to one edge and a single veneer near the other edge, as in the photo.
- The veneers follow the flared outline of your CAD, so they stay parallel to the edge from the butt up to the blade.
- Light end cap with a thin glue line and the Resonant medallion, painted onto the existing butt area of the CAD. No extra geometry is added.
- The wood stops exactly where Handle 1 stops. It does not run onto the blade, even though it does in the photo.
- If the real stripe count, position or wood is different, it is a setting, not a new model.
2. Technology
- Viewer: three.js (WebGL, MIT licence) with physically based lighting and a custom wood shader that maps photographed veneers in CAD coordinates. Works in every modern browser, with nothing for the customer to install.
- CAD pipeline: STEP export from Fusion 360, then automatic tessellation per solid. A new blade model or handle shape is a new STEP file, not a modelling job.
- WordPress: one plugin with a shortcode for the product page, its own admin pages and full WooCommerce integration. It runs on your current hosting, with no external service and no subscription.
3. Adding new handle wood designs later
Limits: straight laminations and caps. Curved inlays, chevrons, burl or hand-cut patterns need option B.
New wood species: two photos (front and back), as you planned. Each species becomes a reusable material for every current and future model.
Extra package of 10 handle designs on the 4 shapes: €150 as modular designs (I set them up for you), or €20 each when they are photo-based.
4. Fixed price for the complete project
| Phase | Deliverable | Week | Payment |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | The 3D configurator (contest prize): 3D pipeline for OPUS 1, PALIS, WAVE C and PULSE C and the 4 handle shapes (flared, straight, anatomical, penhold) from your CAD; wood library from your photos; 10 initial handle designs on all compatible shapes; 3 internal structures; untreated / oiled finish; exploded layer view with names (thickness hidden when empty); all views including the handle end. | 1-2 | €500 |
| 2 | WooCommerce and live calculations: live price and estimated weight (±5 g) on every change; compatibility rules so only manufacturable combinations can be chosen; real cart and checkout with a server-validated price; all choices and a preview image in the order, admin view and e-mails; shareable configuration link. | 3-4 | €250 |
| 3 | Admin, personalisation and hand-over: admin pages for models, sizes, base prices, component weights and prices, CAD-derived 3D assets, wood textures, handle designs, labels and flags, all without code; engraving in the serial-number area; flag and name plate shown live in 3D; high-resolution image export; desktop and mobile testing, a real test order, documentation and a live session showing how to add a new blade model and wood design. | 5-6 | €580 |
| Total | 6 | €1,330 |
Included in the fixed price (as asked in section 7)
- 4 blade models, 4 handle shapes, 10 initial wood designs, 3 internal structures, all listed options
- Exploded view, WooCommerce integration and admin tools, with no code editing for you
- Only manufacturable combinations can be selected (compatibility rules in the admin)
Image export
In the browser, from the admin or the product page: PNG up to 4096 px, transparent or white background, any configuration and any view. A separate render workflow is not needed. The high-quality capture runs only on click, so normal customising stays fast.
Assumptions and exclusions
